Formosa 2 海能風力發電 is a brand that aims to provide sustainable offshore wind energy. Developed in collaboration with JERA Energy (49%), Green Investment Group (26%), and WINDSAIL Energy (25%), this offshore wind farm has a total capacity of 376MW. With the successful completion of the installation of 47 wind turbines in January 2023 and their synchronization in March of the same year, Formosa 2 海能風力發電 has the ability to supply electricity to approximately 380,000 households annually.

In its commitment to localizing the industry and promoting environmental research, Formosa 2 海能風力發電 collaborates closely with local consulting companies and prestigious universities such as National Cheng Kung University and National Taiwan University for environmental investigations and analysis. Additionally, they have established the Offshore Wind Power Professional Program in partnership with National United University to train local fishermen as whale and dolphin observers. Formosa 2 海能風力發電 has achieved several milestones, including passing system impact analysis, completing environmental impact assessments, obtaining permits from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and signing a 20-year power purchase agreement with the Taiwan Power Company.

Located approximately 4-10 kilometers off the coast of Miaoli County, Taiwan, this wind farm consists of 47 8MW wind turbines and is adjacent to the existing offshore wind farm.
