Forsea Surf

Forsea is a surf forecasting brand developed by solo developer and longtime surfer Andrew Kallinikos, based on the East Coast of the United States. Built to offer a more personalized alternative to conventional surf apps, Forsea helps surfers decide when their favorite spots are likely to meet their preferred conditions. Its web-based Progressive Web App can be installed on a device without a download from an app store.

The service combines live ocean and weather reports, updated within seconds of station publication, with customizable forecasts. Surfers can view hourly forecasts for five days and extended forecasts up to 16 days, then set spot-specific preferences for factors such as wave height, wind, swell, and tides. Customizable live-condition and forecast alerts notify users when their criteria are met, while condition-history tools show how a spot is changing. A personalized session logbook lets users record conditions, rate sessions, and add notes. Forsea also provides tutorials, guides, FAQs, and product updates through its blog. The platform is currently free as it continues to develop.
