Forsyningstilsynet blev etableret 1. juli 2018 og skal sikre et stærkt og effektivt tilsyn med forsyningssektorerne – el-, naturgas- og fjernvarmesektorerne. Forsyningstilsynet skal sikre forbrugernes interesser ved at arbejde for høj effektivitet, lavest mulige forbrugerpriser på kort og lang sigt, en sikker og stabil forsyning samt en omkostningseffektiv teknologiudvikling og en omkostningseffektiv grøn omstilling. Forsyningstilsynet skal monitorere og analysere sektorerne og skal bidrage til at udvikle reguleringen.

About Forsyningstilsynet
Forsyningstilsynets is a brand that strives to maintain a strong and effective supervision of the utility sectors, including electricity, natural gas, and district heating. Established on July 1st, 2018, the Danish Utility Regulator (DUR) carries out its tasks with the goal of securing consumer interests in the utility sectors. They aim to achieve this by promoting efficiency, minimizing costs, ensuring a stable and secure supply, and supporting cost-effective development in technology and climate-friendly initiatives.
The Danish Utility Regulator administers regulation and supervision, analyzes and monitors the utility sectors to enhance transparency, contributes to achieving sector goals, and establishes integrated supply markets in accordance with national and EU regulations. To fulfill their duties, they comply with the Law on The Danish Utility Regulator and various sector laws, including those on electricity supply, natural gas supply, district heating supply, renewable energy promotion, and savings in energy consumption. With a focus on consumer interests and sustainable development, Forsyningstilsynets plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient and reliable utility services
