For The Record

For The Record is an independent record shop in the heart of Rheydt, Mönchengladbach, serving vinyl fans across the Lower Rhine region and beyond. Opened on 5 August 2022, the store was created to bring a dedicated, in-person vinyl offering to the area and support Rheydt’s city centre. Its 45-square-metre space features a broad selection of mainly second-hand records, alongside carefully selected new releases in a range of price categories.

The shop welcomes both newcomers to vinyl and experienced collectors, with music spanning genres including rock, pop, metal and soul. Visitors can use an in-store listening station equipped with three turntables, or relax in the seating area while browsing. For The Record also buys records, offering sellers a way to pass their collections on to other music lovers.

The shop is open Fridays from 4 to 8 p. m. and Saturdays from 10 a.

m. to 2 p. m.
