Fortiusrun

Fortius is a social running club in Copenhagen, founded as an association in 2005 and rooted in the city’s student community. A member of DGI, the club brings together runners aged roughly 20 to 50 and welcomes international participants. Its focus is on combining regular, structured exercise with friendship and an inclusive group atmosphere.

Fortius holds two weekly sessions at 17:30 from Idrætshuset by Østerbro Stadium. Monday training features longer, lower-intensity runs, with options of 5 km, 7–8 km and 10 km or more. Wednesday sessions combine a warm-up with intervals or other speed work, usually on a nearby designated route. Training is intended for people who can already run 5 km in around 30 minutes, and newcomers are welcome to try several sessions before joining.

Annual membership costs DKK 400 and includes access to both weekly training sessions, subsidies for entry fees at selected recreational races, and social events.
