Fort Smith Public Schools

Fort Smith Public Schools (FSPS) is a public school district serving students and families through a network of elementary, middle, and high schools, along with specialized learning options. Its schools include Northside and Southside high schools, four middle schools, and numerous elementary schools. The district also offers adult education, the Orr Learning Academy, Peak Innovation Center, and Fort Smith Virtual Academy.

FSPS provides educational programs and student services spanning preschool and early childhood education, elementary and secondary instruction, Advanced Placement, gifted and talented education, special education, English as a Second Language, and career and technical education. Students and families can access athletics and activities, after-school care, tutoring, counseling, transportation, school meals, enrollment support, and school-based health services. The district also provides resources for military families, students experiencing homelessness, and social-emotional learning.

Beyond classroom instruction, FSPS supports staff development and community partnerships through its Foundation and Partners in Education program. Families and community members can find district news, calendars, policies, board information, and resources for staying connected with schools.
