Forum Mycelium is an annual event dedicated to mycology, bringing together members of the general public, mycologists, and professionals interested in fungi. The forum is an initiative of the Institut Mondial de Mycologie and provides a setting for learning, discussion, and discovery through a varied program of activities. Its offerings include conferences, round-table discussions, and workshops, alongside a permanent exhibition that gives visitors an opportunity to explore mycology in greater depth.
Participants can also join mycological walks in the forest, attend private screenings and previews, and enjoy light refreshments. A market featuring producer-gatherers adds a practical, community-focused dimension to the event. For people unable to attend in person, Forum Mycelium offers live coverage on YouTube, while Facebook provides a place to react and engage with the forum.
By combining educational sessions, outdoor activities, exhibitions, screenings, and opportunities to connect, Forum Mycelium makes the study and appreciation of fungi accessible to a broad audience, from curious newcomers to experienced specialists
