FOSA

Fundacja Osób Społecznie Aktywnych FOSA is a Polish foundation based in Rąbień, near Aleksandrów Łódzki. Its work focuses on social activity and support for people with disabilities, as reflected in its care, therapy and community initiatives. The foundation’s listed units include the Dom Pomocy Społecznej w Rąbieniu (Rąbień Social Care Home), Warsztaty Terapii Zajęciowej (Occupational Therapy Workshops), and the Foundation Institute for Research on the Social Economy, FIBES.

FOSA also develops projects and public activities addressing the needs of people with disabilities and the wider community. Current initiatives include “Wyciszenie,” focused on preventing challenging behaviours among people with intellectual disabilities and autism, and projects to improve accessibility at the social care home, including a new passenger lift and an adapted nine-seat vehicle. Other activities include the “Razem Lepiej” Creative Ideas Festival, community services, stress prevention and support against professional burnout, and the “Spotkanie z Mikołajem” event.
