Fossumkollektivets Venner

Fossumkollektivets Venner is an association that supports the relatives of young people affected by substance misuse. Its work focuses on improving everyday life for families and building a nationwide network of resources for people who need support. The association helps relatives connect with others in similar situations and provides information for those seeking substance-use treatment for a young person.

Through its website, Fossumkollektivets Venner shares guidance, useful links, reading recommendations and information about its family-support activities, including initiatives for relatives, young people and fathers. It also arranges events for members and others interested in relevant topics. Membership costs NOK 100 per year, with payment arranged by invoice after registration.

The association has produced a book with Vigdis Løbach for people whose young relatives are receiving substance-use treatment. Although the book was written with families connected to the Fossumkollektivet Foundation in mind, much of its content is broadly useful to other relatives. The foundation, a separate organisation, provides treatment for young people with substance-use disorders and conducts extensive family work.
