Foster Source is a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing trauma education, relief services, and therapeutic services to foster and kinship families throughout Colorado. In partnership with the Colorado Department of Human Services, various counties, child placement agencies, non-profit organizations, and schools, Foster Source aims to address the high turnover rate of foster parents. Up to 70% of new foster parents quit within the first 1-2 years, and Foster Source is determined to change that.

By offering relevant training, resources, and support from a trauma-informed approach, Foster Source empowers foster and kinship parents to provide healing and stability for vulnerable children. Their vision is to inspire lasting healing in vulnerable children through confident and compassionate foster and kinship parents. Founded by foster parents themselves, Foster Source understands the challenges faced by caregivers and strives to be a valuable resource in their foster care journey.

Through their programs, including The Learning Source, Relief Services, Therapeutic Services, Equine Labs Therapy Services, and The Ambassador Project, Foster Source works towards a future where foster families can actively build brighter futures for children in need
