Fotomuseum aan het Vrijthof is an independent photography museum in the historic centre of Maastricht, presenting exhibitions that explore photography, people, culture and the world around us. Its programme brings together work by internationally recognised photographers and emerging or locally connected artists, with subjects ranging from fashion and portraiture to social experience, landscape and artistic experimentation. Current and upcoming exhibitions include Eve Arnold: All about Eve and Ellen von Unwerth: My Circus, alongside projects such as Mergel – Mens – Machine and presentations in the museum’s KAMER 13 space.
