Foxglove Farm

Foxglove Farm is a family-run children’s residential riding holiday set on 25 acres of countryside in Buckinghamshire. Working in association with the established Hartwell Riding Stables, it welcomes young horse enthusiasts aged 6 to 14, whatever their riding ability, for activity-filled and educational stays. Children spend their days riding and taking part in equine activities at the stables and across the surrounding countryside.

Guests stay in a 17th-century thatched farmhouse, with cosy rooms, a home-from-home atmosphere and home-cooked meals prepared using locally sourced produce. The programme combines time with horses and ponies with fun activities and a relaxed residential experience. Foxglove Farm’s horses and ponies are selected for their temperaments and range of riding disciplines.

Children are cared for by the family, including the owner, a professional NNEB-trained nursery nurse with more than 20 years’ childcare experience. Hartwell Stables is a fully licensed riding school, and its staff are fully trained. Foxglove Farm also provides booking enquiries and guidance on stays, accommodation, itineraries and what to bring.
