The Family Planning Council of Iowa (FPCI) is committed to providing quality reproductive health care and family planning services to all individuals in Iowa who seek them. As a delegate agency for Title X funds from the federal government, the FPCI ensures access to reproductive health care by subcontracting with family planning clinics and providers throughout the state. In addition to its primary services, the FPCI also collaborates with the Iowa Department of Public Health to offer community-based screening, treatment, and education for chlamydia and gonorrhea.
Furthermore, they promote family communication on reproductive health through their Movie Talk production, available in libraries, video stores, and schools. The FPCI envisions an Iowa where responsible decision-making and access to care lead to responsible sexual health for all. They strive to cultivate positive community climates, support sexual health competence, encourage family planning and education, and promote healthy sexual relationships.
