Fairfield Police Department is committed to ensuring the safety and security of the community of Fairfield, CT. With a rich history dating back to 1930, the department has evolved into a highly professional law enforcement agency with a team of dedicated personnel. The department provides a wide range of services to the community.
The Field Services Bureau oversees patrol and emergency services, including the K9 unit, bicycle and motorcycle units, and crisis intervention. The Investigation Division focuses on crime investigations, permits, fingerprinting, and the special victims unit. The Administrative Services Bureau handles records and evidence, professional standards, public affairs, and training.
Additionally, the department has a Special Services Bureau that includes animal control, crash investigation, traffic safety, and a dive team. Fairfield Police Department offers various services to the public, such as fingerprinting, parking enforcement, permits, medication drop-off, traffic enforcement, house checks, emergency notifications, car seat safety checks, and more. Residents can also engage with the department through the Text A Tip program for anonymous reporting.
