The Portuguese Federation of Deep Sea Sport Fishing (FPPDAM) is Portugal’s national federation for deep-sea sport fishing. Founded on 2 October 1980, it has held Public Utility Status since 10 May 1986 and Sports Public Utility Institution status since 1997. Based in Setúbal, the federation supports and promotes competitive sport fishing in Portugal and represents the country in international competitions.

FPPDAM organizes and provides information about competitions across several disciplines, including kayak fishing, anchored-boat fishing, Big Game Fishing and jigging. Its activities include national championships and international events, such as world championships, with news and registration announcements published on its website. The federation also shares competition calendars, regulations, activity plans, legislation, disciplinary decisions and information about its governing bodies and general assemblies.

Alongside its competition program, FPPDAM highlights projects including Pescola and Parapesca, and publishes initiatives such as the Zero Violence campaign.
