About Future Problem Solving
FPSPI is an international program that engages students from over 36 states and 7 countries worldwide. This interdisciplinary program equips students with skills to overcome obstacles and develop solutions to various social, political, scientific, economic, and technological issues. Founded in 1974 by Dr.
E. Paul Torrance and his wife Pansy, FPSPI celebrates their vision and impact on education. With programs like Global Issues Problem Solving (GIPS), Community Problem Solving (CmPS), Scenario Writing (SW), and Scenario Performance (ScP), FPSPI encourages critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills in students.
These programs teach students how to think creatively about future problems and identify solutions, become agents of change in their communities, and develop their writing and storytelling skills. FPSPI's education approach aligns with today's Common Core ELA and STEM standards, empowering students to make a positive difference in their local and global communities. Join FPSPI today and be part of a community that fosters innovative thinking and problem-solving
