FENICS is a specialized team that focuses on providing strategic communication solutions in the event of major or catastrophic events. Comprised of experts from fire and rescue services in Bouches du Rhône, Savoie, Haute Savoie, and Rhône, FENICS aims to ensure seamless communication during times of crisis. With a strong background in the European Civil Protection Mechanism, FENICS offers support and aid to affected areas, both local and international.
They address the growing need for precise data sharing and tailored tools for effective field coordination, even in scenarios where telecommunication infrastructure is compromised. FENICS has been involved in various projects and experiments, the culmination of which led to the creation of FENICS itself. The team has successfully deployed its solutions during different operations, providing technical support and communication tools to firefighting modules from Germany, Austria, Poland, and Romania.
