FranceCouvreur is an online directory that helps people across France find roofing contractors and request quotes for local projects. It lists 37,075 roofers across 34,980 municipalities, using publicly available business information from the INSEE Sirene directory and, where available, RGE certification data from ADEME. The directory covers services including roof repairs and renovation, cleaning and moss removal, zinc work, gutter installation, carpentry, insulation, waterproofing, and work on tile, slate, or zinc roofs.

Visitors can search by town or department, describe their project, and request up to three free, no-obligation quotes. Requests are passed to the partner platform ViteUnDevis, which connects users with interested local contractors; responses are generally expected within 48 hours. Users can compare proposals and choose freely whether to proceed.

FranceCouvreur states that it does not independently verify the administrative, insurance, or technical status of listed contractors. It recommends checking a chosen roofer’s business details and professional and ten-year liability insurance before signing a contract.
