FranceGenWeb is a French genealogy portal created by and for amateur genealogists, supported by an association and volunteer contributors. It offers free research resources, indexes and community assistance for exploring family history across France. Visitors can search surnames across multiple databases and browse information by department or region.

Its collections cover civil and parish records, cemeteries, burials, marriages, notarial records, Protestant families, mayors, military history, heraldry and other local and historical subjects. Services also include transcription and paleography resources, photo archives, translations, archival and association directories, commune information, mailing lists and a wiki. For newcomers, the portal provides introductory guides, genealogy FAQs, family-history research guidance, maps of online archives, and links to databases and cartographic tools.

FranceGenWeb invites users to participate and support its work, while its blog shares news and discussion about genealogy. The association states that it operates without advertising and limits the personal data it retains.
