Frank Eaton Legacy

The Frank “Pistol Pete” Eaton Legacy Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the legacy of Frank Eaton, widely known as Pistol Pete, and celebrating the history, art, and culture of the American West. The foundation seeks to collect and catalog Eaton’s personal belongings, work with other organizations to preserve his home, and make his items available for safe public viewing so future generations can learn about his story.

Education is central to the foundation’s mission. It directs profits toward supporting deserving young people with financial needs related to technical training and higher education, including scholarships. The foundation also partners with organizations and fundraising projects to raise scholarship funds; one featured initiative supports an Oklahoma State University scholarship, with donations matched up to a stated limit during the campaign.

People can contribute by donating, volunteering, attending events, or supporting fundraising efforts. Through its programs, partnerships, and community involvement, the foundation aims to honor Eaton’s example while helping young people pursue educational opportunities.
