Frankenland Alpaka

Frankenland Alpaka is a small Huacaya alpaca breeding farm in Gerbersdorf, near Merkendorf in Bavaria’s Franconian Lake District. Established in 2014 by Sebastian Weeger and his father, the farm grew from a longstanding interest in alpacas and their gentle nature. Its breeding program focuses on animals with fine, lustrous fleece and sound body structure. The farm also shares practical information about alpaca care, husbandry, breeding, and behavior, and offers guidance to people considering keeping alpacas or starting a breeding venture.

Visitors can book alpaca walks, including romantic outings, group experiences, and events for bachelor parties or businesses. The farm offers alpaca sponsorships, animal sales, and a breeding service. Its shop features alpaca-fiber products such as knitting yarn, raw fleece, duvets, socks, insoles, hats, headbands, scarves, and gloves, as well as alpaca-keratin soaps, felted alpaca figures, and fertilizer. Frankenland Alpaka combines animal breeding and product sales with a personal, farm-based visitor experience. Visits are arranged by appointment, and the farm describes its Huacaya wool as warm and lightweight.
