About Franz Marc Museum
Welcome to the Franz Marc Museum in Kochel am See! Immerse yourself in the art of the Blaue Reiter movement amidst the inspiring landscapes that influenced the artists. Housed in a modern museum building high above Lake Kochel, we showcase an outstanding collection of German Expressionism and post-war abstraction. Our exhibitions, which change several times a year, offer new perspectives on the works of the Blaue Reiter and the Brücke artists.
In addition, you can explore sculptures by renowned artists such as Per Kirkeby, Tony Cragg, Alf Lechner, and Horst Antes in our museum park, set against the stunning backdrop of the Bavarian Alpine foothills.
