Schnitzstube Stadlhofer is a woodcarving and arts-and-crafts studio run by Franz and Andrea Stadlhofer. Based in Vienna, it introduces people to traditional carving through courses held in Vienna and other locations in Austria and Bavaria. Its programme caters to a range of interests and skills, with classes in chip, flat and relief carving, figurative carving, picture carving, and making spoons, bowls and other objects. Participants can also learn to draw carving patterns, treat carved surfaces, and maintain and sharpen tools.

Beyond woodcarving, the studio offers courses in intarsia and leather tooling, as well as hobby holidays and a carving club. A current course calendar helps visitors explore available classes and locations. The studio also features a shop with products and resources related to carving, alongside a selection of literature and carving patterns. For those seeking something personal, it offers custom-made carvings. With an emphasis on practical instruction, clear teaching and a welcoming group atmosphere, Schnitzstube Stadlhofer provides a place to learn traditional craft skills and create lasting handmade work.
