Fraser Coast Sailing Academy

Fraser Coast Sailing Academy introduces people of all ages to sailing in Hervey Bay, Queensland, with a focus on building skills and enjoyment on the water. Its offerings include sailing lessons and Tackers programs, which help juniors develop a love of sailing. The academy is proudly affiliated with Australian Sailing and provides opportunities for participants to learn in a supportive setting.

Through its partnership with Maryborough Sailing Club, participants can access waterfront facilities. The first course taken through the academy includes an annual membership with the club, and the academy is developing a non-competitive pathway for learners to practise and build on their skills.

The academy also works with Keppel Bay Sailing Club, drawing on its instructors’ experience with youth coaching clinics and regattas. The club has supported the academy by donating two training Optimists. Alongside sailing instruction, the academy presents its programs as a chance to improve, meet others and enjoy time on the water.
