About FrauenMediaTurm
FrauenMediaTurm (FMT) is a feminist archive and library located in the historical Bayenturm in Köln, Germany. With its extensive collection, FMT preserves and makes accessible the history of women's movements in Germany. The archive houses over 100,000 cataloged documents, including books, documents, and images related to the New and Historical Women's Movements, as well as pioneering women throughout history.
Visitors can explore the library on the 4th floor, where they can research and browse through an array of materials. FMT also offers public tours and organizes events to foster discussion and engagement with feminist issues. The organization is housed in a modernized 13th-century tower, offering a unique blend of historic charm and contemporary design.
