Frauweilerhof

Frauweilerhof is a family-run farm in Bedburg-Rath with a history spanning more than four generations. Originally located in the village of Frauweiler, the farm was relocated when the area was affected by open-cast lignite mining. The Kaltenberg family has farmed the land for decades, and today the farm combines its agricultural heritage with activities centered on horses and people.

Since opening its Erlebnis- und Reitpädagogik program in 2021, Frauweilerhof has welcomed children, young people and adults to learn and spend time with horses as partners and friends. Its offerings include experiential and riding education, holiday activities, courses, individual equine therapy sessions and a parent-child café. The farm emphasizes respect, trust, inclusion and a thoughtful approach to working with horses. Activities are intended to help participants understand horse behavior, reflect on their own actions and strengthen self-confidence. With an emphasis on shared experiences, enjoyment and mutual respect, Frauweilerhof invites visitors to discover its small world of horses, farm life and learning.
