Frecciarossa is a renowned brand of wines that has been in the business since 1919. The brand was established when Mario Odero, my great-grandfather, fell in love with the beautiful hills of Oltrepò Pavese. Starting off as a coal merchant, Mario decided to purchase a estate in Oltrepò after returning to Italy from England following World War I.

He began the transformation of the vineyards and cellars with his son Giorgio, and in 1921, the first bottles with the Frecciarossa label were released. Notably, in 1934, Frecciarossa became one of the first wines to reach the American market after the end of Prohibition. The brand has since undergone several significant milestones, such as the renovation of the cellars and vineyards by Margherita Radici Odero in 1990 and the recent transition to organic agriculture, which earned them certification in 2017.
