Frederick Aero

Frederick Aero Club, Inc. is a community of aviation enthusiasts based at Frederick Airport (KFDK) in Frederick, Maryland. The club welcomes local pilots interested in learning more about its shared aviation environment and the opportunities it offers. Its aircraft is kept in a hangar at KFDK and described as meticulously maintained, providing a practical platform for flying and further training.

The club’s Archer features upgraded avionics and can support pilots looking to build skills or pursue additional qualifications. Training goals mentioned include instrument, commercial, and flight instructor ratings, including CFI and CFII. By making an aircraft available within a club setting, Frederick Aero Club presents a cost-effective way to continue learning while sharing the experience with fellow pilots. Its focus combines aircraft access with the camaraderie of a local aviation community, making it relevant to pilots seeking to expand their capabilities and connect with others who share an interest in flying. Local pilots are invited to speak with the club about membership and its aircraft.
