Freedom Benchrest

Freedom Benchrest is a nationwide organization dedicated to recognizing outstanding long-range benchrest shooters across the United States. Its program focuses on competitive rifle shooting at 600 and 1,000 yards and aims to bring together clubs and competitors, regardless of the shooting organization with which they are affiliated. Freedom Benchrest hosts a series of matches at participating ranges, providing a shared competition and a way to identify top performers.

The organization uses a points system that considers the number of shooters in each match and a competitor’s finishing position. Standings are based on each shooter’s five best eligible matches at each distance. At year end, Freedom Benchrest recognizes champions across 600-yard and 1,000-yard categories, including two-gun and tactical divisions, with distinctions for female, junior, and rookie competitors.

Visitors can find membership applications, rules and forms, match schedules, participating ranges, photographs, current and past results, records, and Hall of Fame information. The organization also shares sponsor information and member benefits, including a registration discount offered through Pacific Tool and Gauge.
