Freedom Chairs

Freedom Chairs is a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring mobility and helping people regain independence. It collects gently used wheelchairs and other mobility equipment, repairs items to working order, and donates them to people who struggle to obtain an appropriate mobility solution. Guided by its mission to provide the freedom of mobility, the organization connects community donations with individuals in need.

Freedom Chairs offers several ways to support its work. People can donate gently used mobility equipment, make tax-deductible monetary contributions to help purchase wheelchair repair parts, or volunteer. Those seeking assistance can request a free, gently used wheelchair. The organization also shares testimonials and news highlighting the impact of mobility equipment, including stories about a gait trainer and a connected wheelchair. Through equipment reuse, repair, and community participation, Freedom Chairs aims to make mobility more accessible and help recipients move toward greater independence.
