LaserSTOP

Freedom Laser Quit Smoking is a mobile smoking-cessation service serving Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, and surrounding communities in Ontario. Operating since 2002, the business says it has helped more than 10,000 people work toward quitting smoking and now provides treatment entirely at clients’ locations.

A typical appointment takes about an hour, with the laser treatment itself lasting approximately 25 to 30 minutes. Using painless stimulation of points on the ears, face, and hands, the treatment is intended to help reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms, manage stress, and address appetite changes that may accompany quitting. Clients need a table or desk and a few chairs for the visit.

Freedom Laser Quit Smoking reports that, in its 2017 client feedback survey, 90% of respondents said they were smoke-free after 30 days, while 80% said they remained smoke-free nearly a year later. Results vary from person to person. The service invites prospective clients to call or submit a web form with questions, discuss scheduling, and book a quit date.
