Freedom Run

Freedom Run is a distinguished 5K event proudly organized by the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (DAYL) since 2001. This annual race takes place every September, honoring the bravery and sacrifices of first responders and police officers in the Dallas community. The event not only serves as a tribute to the heroes of 9/11 but also raises significant funds for the Dallas Assist the Officer Foundation (ATO), having garnered over $400,000 throughout its history.

Each year, the Freedom Run pays special homage to fallen officers and those injured in the line of duty. In 2024, the event will honor the memory and courage of officers such as David Clark, Tyler Morris, Jose De La Rocha, Matt Terry, and Dallas Firefighter Kenneth Burke. The contributions of generous sponsors and dedicated volunteers make this heartfelt initiative possible, strengthening community ties and support for those who protect us every day. Join the Freedom Run and be part of this impactful celebration of courage and resilience.
