Freelance Traveller

Freelance Traveller is an electronic, fan-supported resource magazine for Traveller, the science-fiction role-playing game. The site brings together material for players, referees, and enthusiasts, with current and back issues of the magazine available to download. Its content is largely created by fans and explores many aspects of building and playing in Traveller settings.

Readers can find adventures, regular columns, product reviews, house rules, equipment, vehicles, and practical information about the game. Other sections provide setting inspiration, including fictional cultures, customs, organizations, games, animals, characters, starships, and original Traveller universes. The magazine also features fan artwork and multimedia, Traveller-based fiction, real-world science for adding depth to campaigns, translated articles, and software and publisher information.

Freelance Traveller welcomes contributions and provides submission guidance, as well as a feedback channel for suggestions. It also sponsors an always-open live chat room on the Undernet IRC network. The site operates as a non-commercial fan resource; Traveller is owned by Mongoose Publishing, and the site notes the publisher’s conditions for fan websites and fanzines.
