Freeman House Recovery

Freeman House Recovery is a registered private rehabilitation centre in South Africa, located in the tranquil Magaliesburg Mountains near Hartbeespoort. The centre provides compassionate, personalised treatment for people experiencing substance and behavioural addictions, with care from a multidisciplinary team of medical and rehabilitation professionals. Its holistic inpatient programme lasts at least 28 days and can include medically assisted detox, doctors’ consultations, nursing support, individual and group therapy, psychiatric assessments where appropriate, and 12-step work. Treatment is available for alcohol, illegal and prescription drugs, gambling, and other concerns including eating disorders, burnout, shopping, and love addiction.

Freeman House combines evidence-based therapies, such as cognitive behavioural therapy, with trauma counselling, family support, yoga, meditation, and nature-based activities. The programme also includes fitness coaching, art and woodwork classes, and outdoor excursions. Residential facilities include accommodation, a swimming pool, gym, sauna, and home-cooked meals. The centre accepts most international medical aids and insurance, as well as local medical aids; treatment prices are available on request.
