Freestyle met Marijke

Freestyle met Marijke is an equestrian instruction service founded by Marijke Boersma, focused on helping riders build a respectful, trusting relationship with their horses. Its teaching approach places horse welfare, enjoyment and cooperation at the centre, supporting growth for both horse and rider. Marijke teaches children, teenagers and young adults, tailoring lessons to each rider’s age, experience and goals. Beginners and more experienced riders are welcome.

Lessons combine practical skills with attention to balance, body language, feel and communication. Offerings include riding lessons, groundwork, freestyle, double long-reining, obstacle training and children’s lessons. The aim across these activities is to help riders understand their horses and work together harmoniously, both from the ground and in the saddle. Children learn through playful activities that encourage confidence and cooperation, while older students can deepen their awareness of equine communication. Freestyle met Marijke invites interested riders and families to arrange an introductory lesson and discover a natural, relaxed way of learning with horses.
