About Free to be Wild
Free to be Wild is a wildlife rehabilitation center founded by Baye Pigors in January 2014. Growing up in Africa, Baye always had a backyard full of orphaned wildlife, which inspired her to create a sanctuary dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing animals back into the wild. The center focuses on primates, with programs established for the rehabilitation and release of monkeys and baboons.
The team at Free to be Wild is like a family with a shared passion for Zimbabwe's wildlife. Their mission is to promote human-wildlife coexistence and ensure every animal has the opportunity to be wild and free. By becoming a Guardian or sponsoring a handler, you can support their efforts in giving these animals a second chance at a natural life.
Whether you volunteer, donate, or visit the sanctuary, you'll be contributing to the crucial work of Free to be Wild in protecting and preserving Zimbabwe's wildlife
