Free Your Mind Mental Health Society, also known as Free Your Mind, is a dynamic and passionate youth-led not-for-profit organization based in Calgary. Our mission is to address the pressing issue of youth mental health in Canada. Shockingly, one in five Canadian youths face serious mental health struggles each year, yet only a quarter of them receive the help they need. At Free Your Mind, we firmly believe that stigma shouldn't stand in the way of seeking support.

Founded by Jenny Li at the young age of 17, Free Your Mind began as a simple idea to host an event for mental health education. However, it quickly grew into something much bigger. Today, Free Your Mind uses the power of real, young voices to raise awareness about mental health through various channels, including social media, blogging, and community events.

What sets us apart is our commitment to amplifying the experiences and perspectives of youth who have battled mental health challenges. We strive to empower and inspire others by sharing personal stories of resilience and promoting open dialogue. By speaking out, we hope to create a society that understands, supports, and embraces mental health.
