The Freiheitswolke is a collection of open-source tools operated by volunteers. Their goal is to protect your data from surveillance and analysis, keeping personal information free from corporate and governmental control. Maintained by technology enthusiasts and advocates, the Freiheitswolke ensures data security through redundant storage, regular backups, encryption, and synchronization.

Their services include Nextcloud, a comprehensive cloud software for file storage, syncing, and sharing, as well as additional features like calendars, contacts, scheduling tools, and video chat accessible even on smartphones. Additionally, they offer Mattermost, an open-source team chat platform as an alternative to Slack, allowing users to engage in multiple teams and channels for organized discussions. Embracing a donation-based model with democratic surplus redistribution, the Freiheitswolke promotes solidarity and transparency in safeguarding your digital privacy
