About FREO2
FREO2 Foundation (FREO2) is a global not-for-profit organization dedicated to reducing the number of deaths caused by pneumonia or hypoxia in low-and-middle-income countries (LMIC’s). Our mission is to improve access to oxygen and save lives, while reducing health inequalities. Pneumonia is the leading cause of death for children under five, with 800,000 children succumbing to this illness every year – that’s one child every 39 seconds.
Our innovative medical oxygen technologies play a crucial role in combating this issue. Unlike traditional oxygen cylinders that are expensive and difficult to obtain in remote areas, or commercial oxygen concentrators that require a constant energy supply, FREO2 systems are specifically designed to provide a continuous supply of oxygen, even during power outages. Our team of in-country biomedical engineers and technicians ensure the proper maintenance and servicing of our systems, making a sustainable impact on the lives of thousands of children in Uganda, Tanzania, and the Pacific.
