Fresh Start For Hens

Fresh Start For Hens is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on rescuing ex-commercial hens and giving them a new lease on life. Founded in 2008, the organization, which evolved from its previous name, Hen Rehomers UK, is powered by a passionate group of volunteers committed to preventing the slaughter of hens that have reached the end of their egg-laying cycle.

The organization aims to raise awareness about the conditions surrounding commercial caged hens and promotes the benefits of choosing free-range eggs. Through a structured effort involving a Farm Team, drivers, and collection point coordinators, Fresh Start For Hens safely transitions hens from farms into loving homes. They also emphasize building strong community connections and supporting British farmers.

By volunteering and fostering a network of supporters, Fresh Start For Hens endeavors to educate the public about hen welfare and advocate for better practices within the egg production industry, ensuring these birds can live out their natural lives in safe environments.
