Freundeskreis Worms

Freundeskreis Worms is an independent self-help group for people affected by addiction and their relatives. Based in Worms, the group offers open, confidential conversations intended to support a freer life without alcohol or other addictions. Alcohol dependence is its core area of experience, but members’ personal stories and discussions have also given them insight into the challenges and patterns associated with many common forms of addiction.

The group provides a welcoming space to share experiences, build trust, explore underlying issues, discuss ways to avoid relapse, and consider lasting solutions. New participants are welcome at group meetings, and no advance registration is required. Visitors choose for themselves whether to speak and how much to share; meetings are free of charge.

Recognizing that attending a self-help group for the first time can feel difficult, Freundeskreis Worms offers the opportunity to speak by phone with an experienced group contact beforehand. This introductory conversation allows prospective members to ask questions and learn how the group works before deciding to attend.
