About FRFF
Four River Film Festival, located in Karlovac, Croatia, is the premier destination for high school film enthusiasts. Established as a national hub for high school filmmaking, the festival has evolved into a prominent international event, inviting young filmmakers from across the region. Since 2008, it has provided a platform for emerging talent, showcasing the creativity and innovation of high school students.
The festival is operated by Kinoklub Karlovac in partnership with the Croatian Film Association, and it has gained recognition for drawing over 4,000 visitors to its screenings and featuring more than a hundred young filmmakers each year. Notably, the festival only accepts submissions from high school students, making it a unique space for youth film exploration. The rich program includes film competitions, screenings, awards, and networking opportunities, all aimed at nurturing the next generation of filmmakers.
