FRIDAY BIRD is a Berlin gallery specializing in original prints and works on paper by established and emerging artists. Its curated collection is available online and through a Berlin showroom, where visitors can book appointments to see the artworks. The gallery focuses on handmade, authentic pieces rather than posters or reproductions, with many works issued as limited editions that are numbered and signed.
Its selection includes etchings, woodcuts, linocuts, lithographs, monoprints, and unique works, alongside other works on paper and ceramic pieces. Featured artists include Olaf Hajek, Thomas Schütte, Elizabeth Peyton, Arturo Herrera, Cathrin Hoffmann, Dennis Scholl, and Peter Böhnisch. FRIDAY BIRD presents current and forthcoming exhibitions, hosts events, and shares articles about artists, printmaking history, and artistic techniques through its magazine.
It also offers framing options on selected artworks and provides services for businesses seeking art. The gallery aims to make thoughtfully chosen art accessible to collectors, combining craftsmanship and artistic character with a considered aesthetic of simplicity, poetry, and timelessness
