Fridli Divers is a diving club based in the Glarnerland region of Switzerland, known as the diving club at Lake Walen. Founded in 1986 by enthusiastic divers from a former SLRG diving group, it brings people together through underwater activities, friendship and a shared interest in the sport. The club aims to provide a welcoming, friendly environment, and both divers and non-divers are welcome.
Members meet every Wednesday evening for training and dives, primarily in Lake Walen, with other nearby waters chosen according to visibility. Fridli Divers also offers diving instruction and further training, with club instructors supporting participants from beginner level through advanced development. Those interested in trying the sport can enquire about introductory dives.
The club operates a high-performance compressed-air filling station at Landstrasse 54 in Oberurnen, between Oberurnen and Näfels. It supplies air for divers and fire services, and external divers can purchase a filling subscription. The club also provides information on membership, air subscriptions, equipment rental and training prices, and invites prospective members to get in touch.
