About IUCN Forest and Grasslands
Friends of Ecosystem-based Adaptation (FEBA) is a global network of more than 100 organizations working to advance nature-based approaches to climate adaptation and resilience. Its members include government ministries and agencies, United Nations bodies, nongovernmental organizations, research centres, and other institutions. FEBA promotes awareness, understanding, and wider use of Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA), which applies biodiversity and ecosystem services within adaptation strategies to help people respond to climate change. Its work spans ecosystem management approaches such as the sustainable management of forests, grasslands, and wetlands.
FEBA supports collaboration and knowledge sharing through expert working groups focused on key themes. It also convenes high-level events, technical workshops, webinars, and knowledge days, and contributes to policy discussions on nature, climate, and resilience. Its resources include position papers, technical publications, reports, newsletters, and other knowledge products, alongside an EbA tools navigator and e-learning. Organizations can join the network to access resources, take part in events, and collaborate with peers.
