Frijsbak Ridefysioterapi is a specialist equine physiotherapy center in Ulstrup, Denmark, with 25 years of experience. The center focuses exclusively on therapeutic riding, combining the movement of carefully selected horses with exercise in a peaceful, scenic setting near the Gudenå River. Riders can train on hilly outdoor trails, in an indoor riding hall, or on a 20-by-40-meter outdoor arena.
The therapy uses the horse’s rhythmic, three-dimensional movements to support balance, posture, coordination, strength, flexibility and endurance, and may also help with pain relief and other functional goals. Frijsbak offers both subsidized and standard riding physiotherapy for eligible people with disabilities or reduced function, with a referral from a doctor. Safety and accessibility are central to the service: riders are matched with suitable horses and receive consistent support from an experienced horse handler.
Facilities include specialist saddles and adaptive equipment, mounting ramps and a lift, wheelchair-accessible stable access, an accessible toilet, parking and a welcoming lounge for riders and companions
