About The Toronto Fringe
The Toronto Fringe Festival, established in 1989, stands as Ontario's largest platform dedicated to indie theatre and performance. Scheduled to take place from July 2-13, 2025, this vibrant festival showcases a diverse array of innovative shows that are selected through a lottery and first-come-first-served process, ensuring a fair chance for artists to display their talent. Every ticket sold directly benefits the performers, as the festival retains only essential fees for operational costs.
In addition to its main program, the festival features the Next Stage Series, offering four curated shows by seasoned producers, and KidsFest, which presents engaging performances and free activities tailored for children. Visitors can also enjoy the lively Fringe Patio, a hub of free events at the festivalโs heart. Recognized internationally, the Toronto Fringe is proud to be part of the Canadian Association of Fringe Festivals and the World Fringe network, continually fostering creativity and cultural expression within the artistic community. Join us in celebrating the spirit of fringe theatre!
