FriSki

FriSki is a ski-group navigation app designed to help friends stay connected and meet up on the mountain, even when they ski at different levels. Available through a beta program for Android and iPhone, it combines spoken, turn-by-turn directions with a live piste map showing group members on runs or lifts and how recently their positions were updated.

Skiers can choose a meeting point, such as a hut, lift or spot on the map, and FriSki provides each person with a route suited to their ability and an estimated arrival time. Voice cues identify runs by name and colour, announce missed turns and guide users to the destination, helping them keep their phones in their pockets. Downloaded resort maps work offline; the beta supports 27 resorts across France, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Andorra, Bulgaria and Georgia.

FriSki also offers group chat, voice notes, quick replies and location-sharing controls, including Ghost mode.
