The Fromelles Association of Australia is dedicated to preserving the memory and stories of soldiers who fought in the Battle of Fromelles during World War I. This organization serves as a vital resource for families and historians alike, offering a wealth of information through its extensive archives, which include soldier stories, fact sheets, and details about the historical events surrounding the battle that took place on July 19-20, 1916.
The Association also provides support for the descendants of soldiers and those seeking to honor their family history through initiatives like the "Help us name these soldiers" program and the exploration of the Pheasant Wood site, which has significant historical importance. Additionally, they organize ceremonies, events, and create memorials to commemorate the sacrifices made. By fostering connections among families and sharing stories, the Fromelles Association ensures that the legacy of these brave individuals endures for future generations.
