From Scratch Farmstead

From Scratch Farmstead is a brand founded by Jim and Joelle, who are passionate about sharing their knowledge of homesteading, nourishing recipes, and natural do-it-yourself projects. Located on a 5-acre homestead in northern Illinois, they have made it their goal to feed their family with the sustainable produce they grow on their farm. What sets them apart is their journey from being raised in the suburbs and having no knowledge of where their food came from, to becoming self-sufficient and growing their own food.

Their love for traditional, nutrient-dense cooking has led them to create a kitchen filled with homemade cheeses, fermented foods, and home-canned fruits and vegetables. Their focus on nourishment and optimal health is evident in their certifications and educational backgrounds. Join Jim and Joelle on their mission to provide families with the knowledge and tools to make healthy food choices and create sustainable lifestyles
